For learners needing rapid progress, our Intensive Course is 3 Weeks (Manual GH₵ 2,100 / Auto GH₵ 2,600). For working professionals and students, our Weekend Course is 16 Weeks (Saturdays) (Manual GH₵ 1,720 / Auto GH₵ 2,220 with optional Sunday sessions at GH₵ 20).
Yes, our modern fleet includes both manual transmission (Standard) and air-conditioned automatic vehicles (Comfort). All cars have dual-control pedals. If you qualify on a manual vehicle, your Ghanaian driver's license legally allows you to drive both manual and automatic cars.
No, you do not need to obtain a learner's permit beforehand. As an accredited DVLA driving school, our training vehicles and instructors carry official institutional accreditation. If your package includes licensing, we assist you in acquiring your official DVLA learner's permit and biometric registration right after enrollment.
Yes! We manage the entire licensing facilitation pipeline: computerized theory test prep with simulated mock exams, biometric registration, eye screening guidance, and official in-traffic road test escort. We also provide the institute vehicle for your official DVLA test day so you drive a car you already feel comfortable in.
Practical lessons are conducted on public roads throughout Greater Accra, centered around our main office located INSIDE GICEL Estates BLK A/17 UP STAIRS, New Weija, Off Mallam-Kasoa Road, Accra. We provide training on major test corridors, complex multi-lane roundabouts, and the Mallam-Kasoa Highway, with scheduled pick-ups across Weija, Mallam, McCarthy Hill, Kasoa Barrier, and Greater Accra.

Yes! Our Brush-Up / Refresher course (1 Week for GH₵ 850.00 or 2 Weeks for GH₵ 1,300.00, plus Skills Assessment for GH₵ 100.00) is specifically crafted for people who already hold a license or had past lessons, but want to overcome anxiety, practice high-speed motorway driving, or master tight parallel and reverse parking. Valid driver's license required if necessary.
You only need to deposit 70% of your course fees to be assigned an instructor, secure your training car, and begin practical road driving immediately. The remaining 30% balance is paid prior to your DVLA test and license processing. We accept Mobile Money (MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash), bank transfer, or cash.
We understand that academic deadlines and work commitments arise. As long as you give your instructor or our admissions desk at least 24 hours notice, your missed lesson will be rescheduled without any forfeiture or penalty fee.
When registering at Intensive Driving Institute, please present the following:
- 1 Passport size picture (recent)
- National ID (Ghana Card ONLY)
- Level of Education: M.S.L.C, J.H.S, S.H.S (if necessary)
- Valid Driver's License (for Refresher Course if necessary)
Yes! We offer discounted student packages that save you up to GH₵ 200 upon presentation of a valid University Student ID (e.g. UG Legon, UPSA, ATU, Pentecost University) or National Service Personnel (NSS) appointment letter, plus free campus hostel pick-up!
